DYW Fife – Hannah Reid Apprenticeship
FIND YOUR PATH | Whilst at Lochgelly High School, Hannah Reid set out engineering as a pathway early on in her school career, taking part in the ‘Girls into Engineering’ programme when she was 15.
This included a placement at Shell as a Valve Technician. Not only this, she took advantage of every opportunity that came her way, including taking part in The Polar Academy expedition to Greenland.
From there, with much greater confidence, Hannah chose to take on a Foundation Apprenticeship in Engineering at local business, Fife Fabrications Limited, even doing extra work throughout as she found that she truly loved the experience.
Having completed the FA, Hannah then chose a Modern Apprenticeship as a CAD Draughtsman (also at Fife Fabrications) and is now, aged 18, excelling in the workplace.
Well Done Hannah!
