Vacancy: Press brake Operator

Working on dayshift to start for training, before moving onto a 2-shift rotation, this person ideally should be capable of running of press brake machines
Must have at least 6 months setting experience.
Experience of working to and understanding engineering drawings is essential in both first and third angle projection.
The ability to work unsupervised is required as although in a team of approximately 10 people the individual will be required to work through various jobs without assistance, setting tools and in process inspection.
Vacancy: Electro-Mechanical Assembler

Working on a day shift (some shift work may be required) after some initial training, ideally this person must have at least 1 years’ experience of working in an electromechanical assembly environment. However, we would consider individuals willing to undertake training
Experience of working to and understanding engineering drawings is desirable but not essential.
The ability to work unsupervised is required as although in a team of approximately 8 people the individual will be required to work through various jobs without assistance.
Duties will include the assembly and checking of units for a variety of sectors.
You will be required to check parts from drawing details, packing finished parts and general housekeeping duties as and when required.
Vacancy: Apprentice Quality Inspector/Technician

In this role, the candidate will acquire working knowledge of all aspects related within the Quality Department, from product and material evaluation to regular liaising with internal departments such as Engineering, Production and Purchasing alongside external Customers and Suppliers.
The Quality department is also responsible for the implementation, upkeep and continuous improvement of the quality management system which is certified to ISO9001. The role will involve internal process and system auditing along with evaluating performance against key objectives.
On the job training will be supported externally by Fife College where you will be working towards qualifications in line with a modern apprenticeship.

Vacancy: Business Administration Apprentice

Start your career within FiFab and join us as a Business Administration Apprentice. You will use your existing English and Business studies knowledge as a foundation to build and develop skills critical to becoming a well-trained, experienced, and key member of our Glenrothes operations team. As an FiFab Apprentice you will develop a strong understanding of business administration processes including sales, finance, purchasing and quality. You will become part of a business that has the people capabilities and vision to serve the needs of a challenging, evolving industry.
You will work towards achieving a Modern Apprenticeship in Business Administration. Your development plan will be undertaken at our Glenrothes Manufacturing site where you will firstly and most importantly become part of our team. You will gain your initial understanding of our business processes – taking part in a rotational plan moving throughout our different departments. You will see the lifecycle of our products right through to the completion and shipping of a range of diverse components. This will see you interacting with a range of teams within the business.
You will be supported by an independent training assessor to ensure that your knowledge and experiences gained during your apprenticeship sets you up for a successful career within FiFab with further development opportunities.

John, a qualified engineer and Master of the ISM, has been a member of the FiFab team since 1989. Joining as a Quality Inspector, he is now our Managing Director and a shareholder.
Craig McIntosh
Production & Purchasing Manager
Craig joined FiFab in 1997 as a member of the stores team, he progressed in company, holding roles including buyer and planner, and is now our Production and Purchasing manager.
Roberto Morris
C.I. & Facilities Manager
Roberto has been in subcontract Manufacturing for 15 years, holding senior operational and project roles. He joined us in 2010 as our ERP Project Leader.
Steven Smith
Technical Manager
Steven has over 20 years experience and now heads up our Engineering Department, executing and maintaining EMS and in overall charge of staff training.
Lisa Manson
Financial Controller and Company Secretary
Lisa joined us in 2020, As our financial controller and company secretary brings extensive knowledge from a variety of sectors.

Finance Assistant
Susan re-joined us in 2021 having taken a career break. It’s great to have Susan with the team.
Duncan Warrender
IT
Duncan joined FiFab in 2016 with a BSc in Applied Networking. As our Systems Administrator he is in charge of maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure.
Marlene Joyce
Customer Service Co-ordinator
Marlene started her career in Sales/Customer Service within the Electronics Industry, before joining FiFab in 2004. With over 30 years’ experience Marlene manages your account throughout the sales process.
Sarah McCallie
Purchasing
Sarah joined FiFab in 2011 as our procurement manager. Prior to joining she completed a Diploma in Accountancy, followed by working in the Building Industry as a Finance Assistant.
Kevin Somerville
Production Planner
Joining FiFab in 1988 Kevin is now our Production Supervisor looking after elements of our production line.
Stewart Kirk
Programming Engineer
Joining FiFab in 1991, Stewart started working as a power press setter/operator, after moving round the business he is a key part of our engineering department.
Colin Paterson
Sales Manager
Colin has been an employee of FiFab since 2002, initially completing a four year Modern Apprenticeship with us in Fabrication & Welding.
Keith Page
Engineering Team Leader
Keith Page has been in the precision sheet metal industry for 26 years, experience supported by a HNC in Computer Aided Engineering and a Mechanical Engineering Technician Apprenticeship. He joined us in 2003.
Douglas Smith
Production Engineer
Douglas started at FiFab as a machine operator in 1978, and has now worked in almost all sections of the factory.
Stefan Chapman
Production Engineer
Stefan joined FiFab in 1989, starting as a trainee operator he has worked through all sections of our business and has 30 years’ experience in a precision sheet metal / welding engineering environment.
